The injury status of former Intercontinental Champion Shelton Benjamin has become clearer, with a new update on his condition.
Back in May, Shelton Benjamin announced the sad news that for just the second time in his career he had been forced to the sidelines with an injury:
“For only the second time In my career An injury has put me on the shelf. I’ll be back soon. In the meantime I will be putting in the work to come back better than I was before my little setback. See you guys soon!”
Prior to that the 46-year-old star last wrestled on WWE Main Event which aired on the 28th of April where he teamed with Cedric Alexander in a loss to the Street Profits.
Now the future is looking brighter for Shelton Benjamin after he returned to action on the episode of Main Event that was recorded on the 13th of June. The episode will air on the 16th of June and sees Benjamin go one-on-one with Akira Tozawa.
Shelton Benjamin last appeared on Raw back in March teaming with Cedric Alexander once again. Benjamin was also a part of the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal on the SmackDown prior to WrestleMania 38.
