Sheamus Shows Off Gruesome Broken Nose Suffered On Raw

‘The Celtic Warrior’ Sheamus has shown off the battle scars from his in-ring action on Raw in which the Irish star suffered a legitimate broken nose.

Sheamus was continuing his battle with Humberto Carrillo after already competing with Ricochet on Monday’s episode of Raw. During his match with Carrillo, Sheamus was on the receiving end of a stiff forearm shot to the face that is believed to have caused the gruesome injury.

A match between the two men had to be stopped on the 10th of May edition of Raw after Carrillo suffered an apparent leg injury after performing a sunset flip powerbomb on Sheamus to the floor. During their latest bout, Sheamus was able to continue the match after the injury occurred but he lost to Carrillo for the first time since the two men became embroiled in their feud.

Sheamus took to social media after the show off his wounds, noting that it was “utter scumbaggery that caused them.

The defeat to Carrillo will be doubly difficult for the current WWE United States Champion to swallow. That defeat for the Irishman came immediately after Ricochet beat him in just over one minute.

Sheamus has held the WWE United States Championship since defeating Riddle on Night Two of WrestleMania 37. Since then Sheamus has proposed an open challenge on Raw similar to the one John Cena issued when he held the title. Humberto Carrillo answered the call for the first of these but was subjected to a brutal attack from the Irishman ensuring the title defence never took place. The champion is yet to officially defend his United States Title but after two defeats from two different WWE Superstars on Raw he is sure to have no shortage of challengers.
