The October 21st edition of Friday Night SmackDown opened with a tremendously hard-hitting encounter between Sheamus and Solo Sikoa of the The Bloodline.
Sheamus continued his fine run of form in a back and forth clash before ultimately being defeated via a distraction from Sami Zayn. During the match the former NXT North American Champion targeted Sheamus’ arm, and that continued after the bell.
After the match The Usos, Sami Zayn and Solo Sikoa unleashed a vicious beatdown on the Irish star which ended with Jey Uso smashing his arm with a chair against the steel ring steps. In the minutes after the incident it was stated that Sheamus had been taken to a medical facility for treatment.
Sheamus Suffers Elbow Fracture
Later on in the show Michael Cole announced that the leader of the Brawling Brutes had suffered a “non-displaced fracture near his elbow.” At time of writing there is no news on when the star might return to the ring.
Speaking in a WWE Digital Exclusive, Butch and Ridge Holland vowed to get revenge for their fallen friend.
After The Bloodline toasted their success in injuring Sheamus, Zayn revealed that Roman Reigns had instructed them not to get involved in Logan Paul’s segment later in the show. However, Jey Uso had other plans.
As the bickering between Jey Uso and Zayn continued, Uso later rushed the ring to attack Paul as he was cutting a promo. Zayn quickly arrived at ringside in an effort to talk down his hot-headed reluctant partner, but again Uso went back to attack the YouTube star again. This time Paul dodged the oncoming Uso and laid him out with one punch.
Roman Reigns is set to defend his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Logan Paul at WWE Crown Jewel on November 5th. It was recently revealed that Paul has been training with Shawn Michaels ahead of the clash, not that Reigns was too impressed.
