Sheamus recently opened up about a rejected WWE pitch.
The landscape in WWE is a lot different compared to what it was 19 years ago. Now, Sheamus, who at that time was a young upstart in the company, is a seasoned veteran in the locker room. However, despite being with the company for close to two decades, there are still times when he is left frustrated.
Case in point, a recent pitch he made to WWE. Speaking to the Daily Mail, Sheamus revealed that he recently made another pitch, which saw him back in the Intercontinental Championship picture. It is the one title he has left to win, and he was hoping to get involved heading into WrestleMania 41.
Unfortunately, this did not come to pass, and The Celtic Warrior admitted that it was tough. Even more so, considering he didn’t get to perform in Las Vegas.
I had pitched to hopefully get in the Intercontinental title stuff again,’ the 2012 Royal Rumble winner revealed.
‘They’re probably tired about me talking about it but that’s the one title that I have left to become the first ever ultimate Grand Slam Champion in WWE.’
‘That’s the Holy Grail, that’s it. But I wasn’t happy sitting at home. I don’t want to miss WrestleMania I don’t want to go there and not be part of the biggest show of the year.
‘It’s tough for me. I don’t care, if you have passion for what you do you don’t want to miss that.’

It’s a shame that the 47-year-old did not get to compete for the Intercontinental title on The Grandest Stage of Them All. That said, he recently made his return to in-ring action on WWE RAW, and is looking better than ever, so perhaps there is still time for him to achieve his dream.
Sheamus is scheduled to face Grayson Waller next week on WWE RAW
As mentioned earlier, Sheamus made his trimuphant return to WWE recently. Upon said return, he faced Austin Theory in a match on RAW, after the latter was tricked by his partner Grayson Waller into doing it.
Unfortunately for Waller, he was recently met with some payback. On this week’s RAW, it was announced that he would have to go head-to-head with The Celtic Warrior next Monday. Safe to say Waller wasn’t too pleased, but he best be prepared for what the 12-time champion has in store for him.
