Sheamus faced a 39-year-old star on WWE RAW tonight for the first time in 11 years and lost in controversial fashion.
Tonight’s episode of WWE RAW saw the renewal of a rivalry that last saw a one-on-one match, way back in 2014. From friends to enemies, Sheamus and Rusev faced off in what was a hard-hitting and gruelling match.
The last time they went head-to-head was also on RAW in Liverpool, United Kingdom, where Rusev successfully defended the United States Championship. This time around, though, there was no title involved, as it was just two men settling their differences in the ring.
The Celtic Warrior took on The Bulgarian Brute, calling him a bully beforehand for what he had done to Otis and Akira Tozawa of Alpha Academy. Unfortunately, he was unable to pick up the win, as the match ended in controversy. Not only did Rusev expose a turnbuckle, but he also used it to his advantage, slamming Sheamus off it and then finishing things with a Machka Kick.

Safe to say, Sheamus will be feeling the pain from that turnbuckle spot tomorrow morning. However, it would also be safe to assume that he is not done with Rusev, despite this loss.
Sheamus recently reached a huge milestone outside WWE
Tonight didn’t go as planned for Sheamus, but he will pick himself up and dust himself off. He is a warrior, and besides, despite the loss, he has a lot to celebrate. After all, he recently reached a huge milestone outside WWE.
For those who don’t know, The Celtic Warrior runs his own YouTube channel. Celtic Warrior Workouts is a wildly popular channel and recently hit one million subscribers. This is a huge accomplishment and one worthy of praise and applause.
