Sheamus’ Baffling Botch Ruins WWE Star’s First RAW Match In 2 Months

WWE Star Sheamus On RAW

Sheamus botches a move on live television two weeks in a row.

Following his victory over Rusev last week, Sheamus found himself in a heated backstage interaction with Grayson Waller tonight on the July 28th edition of Raw. Soon, their backstage interaction transformed into a match, where The Celtic Warrior faced off against Waller in a rather short and dominating match.

Taking very little to no offence, the 47-year-old was successfully able to keep Waller down for the three count, after executing a Brogue kick. However, as many fans noticed, the former World Champion failed to properly connect his boot to Waller’s jaw, and the moment was properly captured on camera.

Now going solo and parted ways with Theory, Waller competed in his first match on Raw in over two months but failed to secure a win, and instead suffered an embarrassing loss due to the’ botched Brogue kick. The former King of the Ring winner had also suffered a botched top rope clothesline move last week on Raw.

Coincidentally, Waller’s last Raw match was also against Sheamus on the May 19th episode of Raw.

Despite the win tonight, fans saw Rusev ambush Sheamus after the match and beat him ruthlessly, signalling the continuation of their feud.

A Popular AEW Star Wants To Fight Sheamus

Earlier this year, in March, during an interview with Will Turner of Wrestling With The Narrative,Eddie Kingston commented on how he wants to face former WWE Champion Sheamus.

“I want to fight him so bad. I want to wrestle him very much. I just want — it’s mostly about machismo, that I can show that I’m better and beat him. But also, the other part is I like his style.”
