Ever wondered who would win in a fight between Stephanie McMahon and Tony Khan? Eric Bischoff claims there would be only one winner.
During his time as head of WCW Eric Bischoff revelled in the competition that existed between the Atlanta based promotion and Vince McMahon’s WWF.
While the ratings war between the two sides has been well documented, there was also a real animosity between the WCW contingent and their WWF counterparts.
In a bid to capitalise on this and “f*ck with Vince’s head,” Bischoff challenged the then WWF Chairman to a fight at Slamboree at 1998. At the event, Bischoff climbed into the ring seemingly ready for combat, and when McMahon didn’t arrive, had a referee count his rival out and award him the win.
Fast forward to 2022 and Bischoff recently reflected on what would happen if the current heads of professional wrestling’s two biggest companies met in a fight. Representing WWE would be new Chairwoman and co-CEO Stephanie McMahon, while Tony Khan would be representing AEW.
While appearing on NBC Sports Boston’s Ten Count, Bischoff explained that McMahon would kill Tony Khan, something he thinks would be fun to watch.
“Oh my God, Stephanie McMahon would kill Tony Khan.
Hey, I’ve been slapped by Stephanie McMahon on television, which is supposed to be what they call a ‘working slap.’ She don’t know how to work, at least not a slap. I mean, that girl could hurt you. She would kill Tony Khan. Kill him. Yes, set that up. Somebody book that. That’d be fun.”
Bischoff added that he didn’t fancy Khan’s chances of beating up, anyone or anything.
“Tony Khan couldn’t beat up anything, This is a silly conversation. This is like talking about my wife beating up somebody. She’s 98 pounds and couldn’t hurt a fly.”
Speaking elsewhere, Bischoff recently commented that he was “very optimistic” about the future of WWE with Stephanie McMahon, Triple H and Nick Khan now in control.
