WWE have announced that WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax will battle Dana Brooke and Mandy Rose in a non-title match Monday on Raw.
The foundations for the bout were laid last week after the champions confronted their rivals backstage as Rose and Brooke were being pestered by Angel Garza.
Informed that the four of them would appear at Survivor Series and be forced to co-exist against their will, an argument over the most suitable team captain commenced with all four women believing they would make the best choice.
Later in the night, Adam Pierce confirmed that Nia Jax, Shayna Baszler, Dana Brooke and Mandy Rose would comprise the red brand’s female team along with Lana, who would prevail over Lacey Evans, Peyton Royce and Nikki Cross on the same show.
Since joining forces, Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax have been unstoppable and captured the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships from Sasha Banks and Bayley at WWE Payback on August 30. Their reluctant odd-ball pairing has been a surprise hit.
Since capturing the gold, the champions have successfully defended against Banks and Bayley as well as The Riott Squad in a match which was meant to occur at WWE Clash of Champions but was postponed after the champions were forced to quarantine after coming into contact with people who had tested positive for COVID-19.
Monday will not be the first time Baszler and Jax do battle with Rose and Brooke. The champions defeated their rivals, The Riott Squad and Peyton Royce and Lacey Evans on the October 19 edition of Raw.
