Shawn Spears has returned to AEW Dynamite but not quite as you remembered him.
On the October 12th edition of Dynamite Wardlow and Samoa Joe (WarJoe) teamed together to defeat QT Marshall and Nick Comorato. After the match The Embassy led by Prince Nana entered to challenge the victors before FTR also came to the ring to get involved.
As FTR laid down their own challenge to The Embassy, they introduced Ontario, Canada native Shawn Spears as their partner. Although Spears now appears to be working as the ‘Perfect 10,’ a gimmick he enjoyed enormous success with in NXT under the name Tye Dillinger.
Spears hasn’t wrestled since the May 25th edition of Dynamite when he took on Wardlow in a Steel Cage Match as MJF served as the special guest referee.

FTR, Spears and Wardlow have a lengthy history having previously formed part of The Pinnacle alongside MJF.
Dynamite also saw the AEW debut of Renee Paquette who served as an interviewer throughout the show. Paquette’s signing was announced in the lead up to the show and she received a huge ovation from her hometown crowd at the start of the show.
