Congratulations to Shawn Spears and Cassie Lee on their recent announcement.
As announced by Lee on social media, the couple welcomed their second child Harley Dean into the world on Friday, June 21st:
“Harley Dean, you complete us
6.21.24”
This is the couple’s second child as their first-born Austin Jay was born back in January 2023.
Wrestling fans will best remember Cassie Lee for her time in WWE as Peyton Royce, one half of the entertaining tag team The IIconics. Following her exit in 2021, Lee competed in Impact Wrestling and Australian-based promotion World Series Wrestling. Lee’s last match was in October 2023.
Shawn Spears Recently Made WWE Return
Lee’s husband Spears recently returned to WWE after previously exiting the promotion in 2019, where he previously competed as Tye Dillinger. Debuting for AEW in the Casino Battle Royal at Double or Nothing 2019, Spears’ final match in the promotion took place on the All Out 2023 pre-show where he competed once again in a battle royal. Spears would later announce on social media that he would not be renewing his contract with AEW.
Prior to making his shock return to NXT under his AEW name, Spears faced off against YouTube star Chris Danger in DPW. Danger was originally set to face Adam Cole but Spears was named the last-minute replacement following the injury suffered to Cole at AEW Grand Slam.
