Shawn Michaels Set For Major NXT Roadblock Segment

Shawn Michaels

The one-sided feud between Grayson Waller and Shawn Michaels is set to go to a new level at NXT Roadblock.

Waller’s issues with Michaels really came to the surface for the first time following NXT Vengeance Day. On the show, Waller missed out on the NXT Championship after being defeated by Bron Breakker in a Cage Match, however, he wasn’t done there.

The Australian star later interrupted Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative Shawn Michaels while he was addressing the media. Waller accused Michaels of playing favourites and demanding to know why he wasn’t ‘the guy’ before being dragged away. As a result of his outburst, he was suspended.

With his suspension over, Waller returned to NXT and was defeated by Tyler Bate. On the most recent episode of the show, the star hijacked the production truck, claiming that he was taking over, dubbing himself the new Showstopper. The self-appointed “Mr Stand & Deliver” invited Michaels to appear on the Grayson Waller Effect at Roadblock.

Will Shawn Michaels Wrestle Again?

The ongoing issues between Shawn Michaels and Grayson Waller have led some to believe that the rivalry will end with a match and HBK ending his latest retirement. However, as recently as December, the WWE Hall of Famer was adamant that he was retired, and wouldn’t wrestle again. The legend said that he was unbelievably happy with his career and ready to watch the next generation flourish.

These comments came after it was reported that Michaels had previously turned down the chance to return and face Kevin Owens.

Shawn Michaels hasn’t wrestled since November 2018 when he teamed with Triple H to take on The Undertaker and Kane at WWE Crown Jewel.

Prior to that Michaels had been out of the ring for eight years after being retired by The Undertaker at WrestleMania 26.
