Here is why WWE is ‘taking it slow’ with Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer.
International wrestling stars Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer recently made their way into NXT. While Giulia faced Roxanne Perez in a losing effort for the Women’s Championship, Vaquer finds herself in a feud against Cora Jade and Perez alongside Giulia.
The team of the new NXT stars defeated Fatal Influence on the recent episode of NXT, and are now scheduled to face Jade and Perez at Halloween Havoc. Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative of NXT, Shawn Michaels, recently appeared on the Busted Open Radio and discussed one of the biggest challenges he faces with the Vaquer and Giulia.
The most challenging thing, right now, with those particular talents is the communication aspect and making sure that they’re understanding what you’re conveying, especially when you’re talking about those subtleties. Sometimes words mean different things in other languages, so making sure that I choose my words carefully with the two of them has been the biggest challenge, certainly from my standpoint.
We’re also taking it slow because of that language barrier. We’re obviously being patient, I think they are being unbelievably understanding and I think they’re also doing their best to find better way to communicate with us as well.”

With an existing language barrier, Michaels and his team are extremely patient in dealing with the two new stars. Vaquer and Giulia are also giving their best effort to communicate with everyone.
Recently Shawn Michaels spoke about which two WWE NXT stars he thinks will take the wrestling world by storm.
Mercedes Mone Believes Stephanie Vaquer’s Match Against Her Helped Her Get Into WWE
Writing in her Mone Mag newsletter, AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Mone opened up on her match against Stephanie Vaquer at Forbidden Door, and how it might have helped her get into the Stamford-based promotion.
Another time was with Stephanie Vaquer for AEW’s Forbidden Door. Stephanie flew in that day and got to the building maybe an hour before the doors opened. We just talked about the match a little where she speaks a whole different language (Spanish). That was so hard. I’m like, my God, we don’t get time to walk over our moves, we speak two different languages, and we’re both tired, jet lagged, and hungry, too. Yet, that also turned out to be such a great match. She was signed by the WWE days later. I’d like to think our match had a say in that!”
