Shane McMahon Clears The Air About His AEW Association

WWE Hall Of Famer Says AEW Wouldn't Benefit From Signing Shane McMahon

Is Shane McMahon finally joining forces with AEW?

Earlier last year, on July 31st, a photo emerged that showed Shane McMahon meeting with Tony Khan. The meeting followed rumors that McMahon had reached out to All Elite Wrestling stars about possibly joining the promotion, and McMahon later issued a statement regarding their meeting.

The speculations about McMahon joining All Elite Wrestling continued when, on September 26th, The Young Bucks shared a photo of themselves with Shane O’Mac at the airport. Now, almost a year later, McMahon has finally clarified his association with Tony Khan’s promotion.

In a recent interview with TMZ, he shared,

“Had a meeting with AEW and wished them continued success. But it’s not WWE, it’s not the company that I helped build. But you never know what’s going to happen in this business.”

The world of wrestling is extremely unpredictable, and anything can happen at any time. As fans might vividly remember, when Shane O’Mac purchased WCW and appeared on live television several years ago in 2001.

Bryan Danielson Discusses Shane McMahon’s Meeting With Tony Khan

Last year, during an interview with Gorilla Position, former World Champion Bryan Danielson opened up about Tony Khan’s meeting with Shane McMahon.

“I’m open to working with anybody. I don’t have beef with anybody. 100%.”

“One, if I knew, I would not tell you. Two, I don’t know [laughs]. It was interesting because Tony mentioned to me after the photo came out, ‘I didn’t want to tell you this before, but I met with Shane McMahon.’ I didn’t say this, but I was like, ‘Yeah, I know. The picture is everywhere.’ To be fair, I’m not aware of a lot of things because I don’t go on Twitter or social media.”
