Former WWE Superstar Shane Helms has revealed that he has put pen to paper on a Legends deal with the company.

Helms, who is probably best known for his spell in WWE as The Hurricane has a long and storied career that has also taken in spells in WCW and Ring Of Honor.

Taking to social media Shane Helms announced that he had signed the deal with the company on social media with the 49-year-old poking fun at his own age:

“I signed a WWE Legends deal so I guess that makes it official… I’m old.”

As ‘Sugar’ Shane Helms, he joined WCW in the spring of 1999 and along with Shannon Moore and Evan Karagias formed the boyband parody faction, 3 Count. During his time in the company, he captured the WCW Hardcore Title with his 3 Count cohort and also held the WCW Cruiserweight Championship.

Helms joined WWE following WCW’s demise in 2001, gaining massive popularity as The Hurricane. In his nine-year spell with the company, Helms captured the Cruiserweight, Hardcore, and European Titles in addition to holding tag team gold twice in memorable tandems with both Kane and Rosey.

In January 2019, Shane Helms began working for WWE as a backstage producer, a role he still holds to this day.
