Sexyy Red Unveils Design For New WWE Championship

Sexyy Red helped WWE with its latest announcement as the company officially unveiled its newest championship.

Back at NXT Stand & Deliver it was announced by General Manager Ava that the brand would be introducing the NXT Women’s North American Championship later in the year, which is also the first time that a mid-card Women’s Championship will be featured on the brand.

The following month, Ava provided more details as to how the inaugural champion would be crowned and that the match would be the same way the first ever Men’s North American Champion was crowned, in a six-pack ladder match.

On the May 28th episode, special guest Sexyy Red appeared live in the ring alongside Ava with the new championship covered on a podium. Asked to do the honours by the General Manager, the rapper unveiled the Women’s North American Championship design that sees the North American plate on a white strap as opposed to the burgundy design contested by the men.

Following the unveiling, Tatum Paxley attempted to steal the title away but was attacked by Michin, who defeated Paxley later in the night to qualify for the final spot in the ladder match at Battleground. Michin joins Sol Ruca, Lash Legend, Jaida Parker, Fallon Henley and Kelani Jordan in the match at Battleground on June 9th.

Following the show, WWE posted a more detailed look at the championship on Instagram:
