The 5/17 episode of AEW Dynamite left fans with an astounding four new matches to look forward to at Double or Nothing on May 28, 2023.
This includes one of AEW’s most beloved stipulation matches: Anarchy in the Arena. The closing moments of tonight’s show saw Kenny Omega getting attacked 4-on-1 against The Blackpool Combat Club, but the odds were evened when The Young Bucks and “Hangman” Adam Page brought out some weapons to get the advantage. Page delivered his signature Buckshot Lariat to Wheeler Yuta to the delight of the fans in attendance, and then grabbed the microphone and announced that BCC (Jon Moxley, Bryan Danielson, ROH World Champion Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta) will battle The Elite (Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks ((Matt & Nick Jackson)), and “Hangman” Adam Page) in an Anarchy in the Arena match at Double or Nothing.
Ladder match for the TNT Championship added to AEW Double or Nothing
After a clash between TNT Champion Wardlow and the men that have recently been harassing him — Christian Cage and Wardlow — a challenge was laid out for Double or Nothing. Wardlow wants Christian Cage in a ladder match for the TNT Championship, which now appears official for the event. We will also see Toni Storm challenge Jamie Hayter for the AEW Women’s Championship after the member of The Outcasts called her out on the 5/17 AEW Dynamite. Storm was the person Hayter initially defeated to become AEW Women’s Champion.
It was also noted that Orange Cassidy will defend his AEW International Championship in a blackjack battle royale, where he will be the 21st participant vying to hold onto the belt after every man but one is eliminated.
