Seth Rollins is set to find himself trapped inside Hell In A Cell with a livid Rated-R Superstar as the two men will meet inside the demonic structure in Saudi Arabia.
On last week’s SmackDown Rollins made the ongoing feud with the WWE Hall Of Famer even more personal as he invaded Edge’s home in North Carolina. With Edge in Baltimore for SmackDown, he was seen on his phone to his wife and fellow WWE Hall Of Famer Beth Phoenix warning her not to go home and that he’d sent for an AEW tag team to deal with the former WWE Universal Champion.
The season premiere episode of SmackDown on the 8th of October saw Seth Rollins receive an answer from Edge after challenging him to a third match with the men’s record against each other currently standing at 1-1. At 2021’s SummerSlam Edge defeated Rollins before Rollins avenged that defeat in Madison Square Garden in September.
Rather than accept another regular match with Seth Rollins, Edge raised the stakes as he challenged Rollins to meet him inside Hell In A Cell. Rollins didn’t respond before SmackDown went off the air but WWE social media confirmed the match is set for Crown Jewel.
Crown Jewel on the 21st of October is the sixth show WWE is running in the Middle Eastern Kingdom since the company penned a multi-million dollar deal to hold shows there. The bout between Rollins and Edge will be the first Hell In A Cell match to be held in Saudi Arabia and the first to ever be held outside North America.
The Crown Jewel event is taking shape with Goldberg set to resume hostilities with Bobby Lashley in a No Holds Barred match. RK-Bro will defend the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship against AJ Styles and Omos while Big E will defend the WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre.
The SmackDown Women’s Championship will be on the line in a Triple Threat match as Becky Lynch defends against both Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair. Roman Reigns will also defend the WWE Universal Championship against the returning Beast Incarnate, Brock Lesnar.
