Seth Rollins Will Defend United States Championship In Triple Threat At WWE Survivor Series

Seth Rollins United States Champion

On October 10th, Brock Lesnar shocked the world by returning to WWE for the first time since WWE SummerSlam, where he lost to Roman Reigns. Lesnar attacked then-United States Champion Bobby Lashley, delivering multiple F5’s before locking in the Kimura, doing enough damage to Bobby Lashley’s arm that he was unable to apply the Hurt Lock to Seth Rollins during their title bout immediately afterward.

In the end, Seth Rollins defeated Bobby Lashley to become the new United States Champion, and Lashley is on a rampage to get his title back. On November 8th, Rollins announced that he would be bringing back the United States Championship open challenges only to be attacked by Lashley after The Almighty laid waste to Mustafa Ali backstage. With Seth Rollins left damaged from Lashley’s attack, Austin Theory took the opportunity to cash in his Money in the Bank contract in an attempt to regain the title he lost to Lashley back in May.

While it looked like Austin Theory would triumph, Rollins kicked out of his initial offense, leaving time for Lashley to once again wreak havoc. With the referee down, Lashley pulled Theory out of the ring and attacked him, applying the Hurt Lock and rendering Theory weakened. In the end, he lost the match to Rollins, adding him to the list of people to unsuccessfully cash in a contract.

Seth Rollins Will Defend His United States Championship Against Bobby Lashley And Austin Theory At WWE Survivor Series

Last week, Lashley once again made it clear that his intention was to hurt anyone necessary in order to regain his United States Championship from Seth Rollins. Meanwhile, Austin Theory cut a promo explaining his reasons for cashing in on Rollins instead of Roman Reigns.

Now, on the November 21st episode of WWE Raw, Seth Rollins revealed in a backstage interview that he will face both Bobby Lashley and Austin Theory at WWE Survivor Series on November 26th, saying that he requested the match to prove once and for all that he’s the best. WWE also confirmed the match via social media.

Later in the episode, Austin Theory defeated Mustafa Ali, but his victory celebration was short-lived as he was confronted and attacked by Bobby Lashley.
