On the December 12th edition of Monday Night Raw, Bobby Lashley was sensationally fired by Adam Pearce after attacking a referee in the wake of his defeat to Seth Rollins in the main event.
Lashley was seemingly closing in on victory when the match fell apart. With Seth Rollins trapped in the Hurt Lock both men tumbled into the referee knocking him out of the ring. The All-Mighty then delivered a Spear to Rollins but there was no one to count the pin-fall. By the time the referee was back in ring Rollins kicked out and hit a Pedigree to score the win.
After the match an irate Bobby Lashley confronted the referee and then knocked out another official who came to try and calm the situation. This brought Adam Pearce to the ring who shockingly fired Lashley on the spot.
However, just 24-hours later Adam Pearce released a statement announcing that Lashley had been reinstated.
Seth Rollins Feels triple H Might Need To Get Involved in WWE Raw Chaos
During an appearance on The Bump, Seth Rollins was quizzed on the situation, and asked whether he felt the right call was made. The former World Champion explained that luckily he doesn’t have to make those calls, before questioning the conduct of both Pearce and Lashley.
“Well, luckily this isn’t my sandbox. I don’t have to make that decision. I will say this — I don’t know who’s got the temper problem. I don’t know whether it’s Pearce or Lashley. Both of them seem to be a bit of a hothead here. Pearce dropping some very unsavory language on Monday night, goodness gracious. But I get it, you know, you get pie-faced by a man, you’re in the heat of the moment, things happen. I feel this is very similar to Bobby.
So I’ll be very curious to see, honestly, how they hash these things out and what comes of it. You can’t crack an official in the head, you can’t pie-face Adam Pearce. You can’t do those things. You gotta be a professional. I mean, professional, I am the king of professionalism. I go by the book all the time, so I understand these things. I would never do anything to put myself in a situation like that,”
Rollins added that if the situation worsens, Triple H may even need to get involved.
“I’m very curious to see how the two of them kind of handle this business, or if maybe somebody else needs to step in. I don’t know, if ‘Papa H’ needs to come down and lay the hammer down, the sledgehammer, so to speak, who knows? We’ll see,”
