Former WWE Champion Seth Rollins has teased turning babyface in footage filmed by a fan after the most recent episode of SmackDown went off the air.
On the January 7th episode of SmackDown, WWE Official Adam Pearce went to see Roman Reigns to inform him he had chosen his challenger for the Royal Rumble. Reigns seemed unconcerned, reminding Pearce that he had beaten everyone that the SmackDown had to offer.
However, following the main event of the show – which saw The Usos retain the SmackDown Tag Team Championships – there was a knock on Reigns’ door backstage. As the champion climbed to his feet, he was greeted by his challenger, none other than his former Shield teammate Seth Rollins as the show went off the air.
Now, fan footage has emerged on Twitter showing Rollins making his way to the ring and laying The Usos out with Curbstomps. Interestingly, the ‘Drip King’ appeared to be acting as a babyface for the first time since turning heel in 2019.
As can be seen in the below video, Rollins played up to the audience to get them behind him as he took out The Usos.

It has recently been reported that plans originally called for Seth Rollins to win the WWE Championship from Big E at Day 1. However, things changed when Roman Reigns, who was due to defend the Universal Championship against Brock Lesnar, announced that he had tested positive for COVID-19 so could not compete at the event.
This led to Lesnar being inserted into the WWE Championship match, with ‘The Conqueror’ going on to capture the gold.
