Seth Rollins’ many accolades include a Royal Rumble victory.
From Rollins’ main roster debut in 2012, The Architect has currently competed in 5 Rumble matches, with a 6th appearance scheduled for the 2023 event on Saturday, January 28th.
The Architect’s debut appearance took place at the 2014 event while a part of The Shield, with Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose also competing in the match. Seth Rollins would enter 2nd, with CM Punk drawing the dreaded number 1 spot. Rollins was eliminated by Reigns, with the match being infamously won by Batista.
Seth Rollins Won The 2019 Royal Rumble Match
Rollins would enter his second Rumble match in 2018, joining the Battle Royale as the 18th entrant. After being in the match for approximately 19 minutes, The Visionary would once again be eliminated by Roman Reigns. The match was won by Shinsuke Nakamura, who was victorious by last eliminating Reigns.
In what is the former Universal Champion’s only Rumble victory so far, Rollins would win the 2019 Royal Rumble match. Entering at the number 10 spot and lasting over 40 minutes, Braun Strowman would be the last man eliminated from the match. The victory would lead to a match with Brock Lesnar to open WrestleMania 35, where Rollins would slay The Beast to become the new Universal Champion.
Lightning looked like it might strike twice in 2020, as Rollins drew the sought after number 30 spot for the event one year after the victory. Following a short stint at only 4 minutes, the modern day Rumble Ironman was eliminated by eventual winner Drew McIntyre, who would also go on to defeat Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania.
The 2021 Rumble pay-per-view would see number 1 entrant Edge be one of only 3 entrants in the history of the match to go the distance and win from the start. The Rated R Superstar would eliminate 3 competitors in the match, which included future rival Seth Rollins, who entered at number 29.
