‘The Friday Night Messiah’ Seth Rollins is scheduled to return to SmackDown for the first time in nearly three months on February 12.
During the February 5 edition of the blue brand, WWE tweeted out a teaser for the return of the star who made his official comeback at the 2021 Royal Rumble on January 31 entering at number twenty nine. Featuring a video of his Rumble entry, the tweet stated:
“For the Greater Good, @WWERollins is BACK next week on #SmackDown!”

Rollins disappeared from WWE television following the 2020 Survivor Series where he competed in the Team Raw vs. Team SmackDown Survivor Series Elimination Match. At the beginning of the match, the former Shield member refused to look at Riddle after comments tweeted about his partner Becky Lynch and knelt down in the middle of the ring for ‘The Celtic Warrior’ Sheamus.
Hands placed firmly behind his back, Seth Rollins stared the Irishman directly in the eyes and proclaimed that his sacrifice was for the greater good. Seconds later, the opportunistic talent eliminated him from the affray with a Brogue Kick.
In reality, Rollins was due time away from the company to attend the birth of his and Becky Lynch’s first child, Roux, in December but was rumoured by Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter to be returning ahead of schedule which came true.
