Seth Rollins Responds To Recent Comments From Will Ospreay

Seth Rollins Raw

WWE Superstar Seth Rollins and NJPW Star Will Ospreay are no strangers to having interesting exchanges on social media but their most recent Twitter interactions have certainly raised the eyebrows of the wrestling world as they continue to hint at a dream match.

Back in 2019, the two stars had heat with one another after a Twitter conversation got a bit out of hand. The “beef” began when Rollins took to the social media platform to defend WWE during a period when he and the company were receiving some negativity from fans.

Rollins, the WWE universal champion at the time, stood up for his fellow Superstars and the company by stating that the promotion had the “best pro wrestling on the planet.” The statement caught the attention of Ospreay, who claimed he was the best wrestler in the world, which drew a harsh response from Rollins who claimed his bank balance was better than the star of NJPW. Rollins immediately apologised for his response claiming it was a “dumb” and “trash” thing to do.

Following the brief spat, the two athletes rarely interact, however, in a recent interview on INIGHT with Chris Van Vliet Ospreay was asked who he would face if the “forbidden door” existed across all promotions and without hesitation, he answered it would have to be Rollins.

The comment garnered a tonne of interest across the wrestling media and resulted in a far less heated, but much more intriguing back-and-forth response between the two stars. In a post from Chris Van Vliet promoting the interview using the clip of the Rollins comment, Ospreay wrote a reply insinuating he could make the short journey to the 02 Arena when WWE runs Money In The Bank on June 1st.

The 02 arena is 20 minutes from my house aye 👀

Seth Rollins Responded To Will Ospreay

The current WWE World Heavyweight Champion responded to Ospreay’s message simply by writing “Bruv”, which is a term the UK native often uses. Ospreay then continued the conversation asking Rollins “What you saying champ.”

Ospreay was recently in action at NJPW Dominion, where he defeated Lance Archer to become the Number One Contender for Kenny Omega’s IWGP United States Championship and meet his nemesis in a highly-anticipated rematch at Forbidden Door 2.
