Seth Rollins has provided an update.
The former World Champion has been out of action since he dropped the title to Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 40 in the opening match of night 2. Shortly after the Premium Live Event, Becky Lynch confirmed that Rollins had undergone knee surgery. The Visionary had previously injured his knee back in January while competing on Raw, casting doubt over his involvement at WrestleMania. However, Rollins took time away from the ring, rehabbed the injury and competed in 2 matches over the course of WrestleMania weekend while also providing interference in the main event of night 2.
A new video has since been uploaded to Black and Brave Wrestling Academy’s social media, where Rollins serves as one of the head trainers. In the video, Rollins is seen performing multiple overhead presses while wearing a support over his right knee. It should be noted that no return window has been provided or reported at the time of writing.
While sidelined with injury, an update was provided that confirmed that Seth Rollins had signed a new WWE deal.
Former WWE Star Says They Pitched Seth Rollins Character
Following his heel turn in late 2019 after the infamous Hell in a Cell match against Bray Wyatt, Rollins became the Monday Night Messiah and developed a cult leader-inspired persona. The new character saw Rollins recruit AOP and Buddy Matthews as his disciples who helped him carry out his bidding. Although Seth Rollins’ work was praised and the Monday Night Messiah was one of the standout performers of the pandemic era, one former star recently revealed that it was originally their pitch.
Inside The Ropes continues to wish Seth Rollins a full and speedy recovery.
