Seth Rollins has provided the latest update in regards to Becky Lynch returning to a WWE ring in the near future, saying it’s all a matter of timing.
Lynch made her last appearance for WWE in May 2020 on the night after that year’s Money In The Bank pay-per-view. She presented the women’s Money In The Bank winner Asuka with her briefcase, opening it to reveal that the Japanese star hadn’t won a shot at Lynch’s Raw Women’s Title, she had in fact won the title itself. Becky Lynch then revealed that she had to relinquish the title due to her pregnancy.
Lynch and her now-husband Seth Rollins had great news to share in December 2020 when they announced the safe arrival of their first daughter, Roux.
As the months have gone on in 2021, speculation has mounted evermore regarding Lynch returning to WWE television. Many people believed that ‘The Man’ would have returned by now and ahead of SummerSlam, rumours are gaining traction once again. However, one report has already stated that September is a more likely return date for the Irish superstar.
Now on a media call ahead of SummerSlam, Seth Rollins answered a question from Razeen Gutta as to his wife’s potential return:
“Oh, gosh, I wish I knew [when she will return], man. I mean, it is her goal. I’ll tell you this: it is her goal to return at some point. When that’s going to be, we don’t know, you know. She’s a timing person. Timing’s gotta be right for her, so I’m sure you guys will get some trolling posts this weekend as we approach the big event. She’s been keen to do that over the last few months just to mess with you guys.”
