WWE star Seth Rollins was involved in a potentially serious injury during the main event of the latest episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, causing concerns about his ability to participate in the upcoming Royal Rumble event.
Rollins was seen clutching his knee after the match with Austin Theory, leading many to believe that he had legitimately hurt himself. Rollins put up the ‘X’ sign – to inform others his injury was legitimate and not just selling – prompting the referee to do the same and WWE’s medical team to rush to the ring. Commentator Corey Graves – a long-time friend of Rollins – even left the commentary booth to check on Seth and ensure he got the help he needed.
Given that the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania season are fast approaching, WWE needs all of its top stars fit and healthy, so the possibility of Seth Rollins being injured was obviously a cause for concern.
Seth Rollins Back In Action Soon?
However, it seems that WWE and fans of Seth Rollins can rest easy, as it appears that the wrestler is not seriously injured. Rollins was spotted at a chiropractic clinic in his hometown of Davenport, Iowa, receiving IV drip therapy. A post on the clinic’s official Instagram account stated:
“Please note, all is well here. No one is sick or in bad health Thank you @wwerollins for coming in today to experience our IV drip therapy. Another Meyers Cocktail on the books! What is this doing for him?? Assisting with optimal athletic performance and recovery, immune system strengthening, and anti aging from the inside out just to name a few!”
The statement seems to confirm that Rollins is not injured, and was simply receiving treatment to aid in recovery from the wear and tear of the ring. This will come as a relief to WWE and fans of Seth Rollins, who famously missed WrestleMania 32 back in 2016 due to a knee injury at a time when he was on one of the hottest runs of his career as WWE World Champion.
