Seth Rollins Gives Honest Assessment Of The Rock’s In-Ring Abilities

Seth Rollins Doubles Down On Past Comments About The Rock In WWE

Seth Rollins continues to speak his mind about The Rock.

Ever since The People’s Champion made his return to WWE at the start of February, Rollins has made it very apparent that while he respects Rock for what he has done in the past, he is not needed in the present or immediate future. Putting in the hard work over the past year to build the promotion into the powerhouse that it is today.

Speaking with Alex McCarthy of Daily Mail, Rollins stated that Rock would repeat the same catchphrases he did from his full-time run and he is not the main character in the story:

“Yeah, he’s gonna open his mouth, run his mouth, say the same old crap he’s been saying for the last two decades because he can’t come up with any new material. Bottom line is, he is an afterthought. This is our story, our era. We’ve built the last decade of WWE, this Elimination Chamber show, this WrestleMania will be the biggest ever; we built it without him.

He’s been off doing his own thing and I’m not taking anything away from him; he laid the groundwork for it but we built it, man. We built the wall, we built the roof, we’ve got this sorted. He can come in and have a little tea but we will shoe him on the way out. Happy to have him, happier to see him go,”

Rumours have persisted that Rock and Roman Reigns may team up to take on Rollins and Cody Rhodes at Philadelphia. Addressing this possibility, Rollins noted that The People’s Champion is not on his level and never has been:

“He is a specimen, he is a specimen. But he hasn’t had a match in a decade. John Cena, two times at WrestleMania. Had a couple of stuff, a tag team match and a couple of appearances here and there. I’m on a different level right now. I am in my prime. I am operating at a level so high above any level he’s ever operated at. He couldn’t lace my boots in the best years of his career, let alone now. I’m just saying,”

Seth Rollins Addresses WrestleMania Challengers

The World Heavyweight Champion remains without an opponent for WrestleMania 40, which will be decided in the Men’s Elimination Chamber match. While not involved in the match, Seth Rollins has named his dream challenger for WrestleMania 40.

Still having issues with CM Punk, Seth Rollins was left with a choice.
