Seth Rollins Details When He Was Informed About WWE Return

Seth Rollins has revealed the timeline behind his WWE return.

The Visionary made a surprise return to Raw on the June 17th episode, which was the first episode of TV following the eventful Clash at the Castle Premium Live Event that occurred 2 days prior. Making his first appearance since losing the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 40, Rollins was placed back in the world title picture as he was announced as the next challenger for Damian Priest at Money in the Bank.

Speaking with Matt Aguilar of ComicBook Nation, Rollins confirmed that the return was not a last-minute decision and added that the main event scene has grown during his time away:

“A little fluctuation, yeah, I had a few weeks notice. We kind of looked at the timeline of the injury, and the story and where I fell back into place, you never know how things are going to go. But the top of the card here on Raw is pretty stacked, you got guys like Damian Priest, you got Drew McIntyre, CM Punk whenever he’s around and able, you got Gunther kind of waiting in the wings as well…so it’s stacked, it was very interesting to see where I could slide in.”

The former World Champion added that the timing was ideal given the events that took place in Glasgow:

“The time felt right coming off a huge event overseas, Clash at the Castle in Scotland, it was ripe for the pickin’, man. Damian Priest needed a challenger, so I hopped right in.”

Stakes Added To Upcoming Seth Rollins Match

While Rollins will challenge Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Championship on July 6th at Money in the Bank, the title will not be the only thing that will be on the line at the Premium Live Event. On a recent episode of Raw, Seth Rollins and Damian Priest agreed to major stakes in their upcoming match.

According to a new report, Seth Rollins is not expected to be in a major SummerSlam match.
