If there’s one person who knows a thing or two about successfully transitioning from NXT to the WWE main roster it is the current World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins.
Speaking of Rollins and the title he is defending it against Bron Breakker on the June 20th episode of NXT. On June 6th, the former two-time NXT Champion called out Rollins for a title match, a challenge that was gladly accepted.
Before taking on Breakker, Rollins spoke to the New York Post and had nothing but praise for the NXT powerhouse and expects to see him on Raw and SmackDown very soon.
There is nothing you can do down there that’s gonna prepare you for the experience of being on the road with WWE full-time. It’s just a different animal. From everything I’ve seen performance-wise, Bron’s as ready as he’s gonna get. And his time will come.
Everybody’s time will come. I was as anxious as anybody when I was down there in NXT. I told Bron this on Tuesday, I’ve been in your shoes. You want to make noise. You want to be the guy and I like that.
We need that passion and we need that hunger to continue to push the business forward. I’m excited to go and give him the test of his life and see what he throws back at me. I’m excited to see how ready he really is.
Earlier this year during the WWE Draft, Breakker was heavily expected to be one of the NXT stars called up to the main roster, however, he wasn’t among the names heading to Raw or SmackDown.
Despite not making the jump Breakker has discovered fresh success with his new heel persona and is more than happy to continue to hone his craft until he is ready to leave.
Seth Rollins Is Set To Defend The WWE World Heavyweight Championship Against Finn Balor At Money In The Bank
Despite facing Breakker for the World Heavyweight Title on NXT, Rollins is scheduled to face Judgement Day member Finn Balor at the upcoming PLE in London, Money In The Bank.
The two are old enemies having clashed many times, specifically back at SummerSlam in 2016 to become the inaugural Universal Championship.
