Seth Rollins and his faction played a vital role in the Night of Champions main event.
Following a remarkable start to the 2025 Night of Champions PLE, the event finished off on a similar note. As Cody Rhodes won the 2025 King of the Ring, he booked himself in a World Title match at the upcoming 2025 SummerSlam.
Later in the night, CM Punk and John Cena faced off against each other for the Undisputed WWE Championship in a closely contested match. However, in the final few minutes of the bout, as Cena took out the referee, fans witnessed Seth Rollins’ music hit.
Shocking the Riyadh crowd, Rollins came out with Bronson Reed, Bron Breakker, and Paul Heyman. Teasing a cash-in and repeating his decade-old feat. The Visionary and his crew almost took out both the stars before Penta and Sami Zayn caused a major distraction. Crashing the main event, Rollins tried to cash in his contract, but Cena would take him out instead, and then continued the bout against Punk.
In the final moments of the PLE, John Cena retained his title following his opportunistic victory over Punk.
WWE Legend Has High Hopes For Seth Rollins
Earlier this year, during an episode of The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, WWE legend Matt Hardy revealed his hopes for Seth Rollins:
The Seth Rollins thing is fine. I like the fact that, you know, we thought it was a red herring. I thought it was too. I thought they would use this to elevate someone else. But they, they really have all of their momentum behind Seth Rollins right now, and they’re gonna do everything they can to make Seth Rollins the guy.”
