Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch have continued to cement their individual spots at the top of the men’s and women’s divisions in WWE. Monday’s go-home RAW was a big night for both as the Men’s Money In the Bank briefcase holder won a first-time-ever showdown against Penta in the main event, while the Women’s Intercontinental Champion brawled with Lyra Valkyria and Bayley. The married couple received the unfortunate news of a break-in at their home the following morning, and new details were just revealed.
The Man and The Visionary worked the final RAW before Saturday Night’s Main Event XL and Evolution II this past Monday at the Amica Mutual Pavilion in Providence, Rhode Island. Hours later, while Lynch and Rollins were sleeping the work night off and planning to fly out the next morning, a group of criminals 3,000 miles away were breaking into the couple’s beach house in the seaside neighborhood of Playa Del Rey in Western Los Angeles, California.
The LAPD had previously confirmed that no one was home at the time of the break-in, which reportly went down around 2:30 am local time. Rollins was the one who called 911 to report the burglary.
Seth Rollins And Becky Lynch Had $10,000 Stolen By Burglars
Seth Rollins learned of the break-in at the West LA-area beach house owned by him and his wife Becky Lynch early Tuesday morning. Rollins called police from across the country, in Providence, Rhode Island, and the Los Angeles Police Department went to the Playa Del Rey home.
Criminals busted the window of a sliding glass door at the back of the house and used that to gain entry to the home shortly before 3 am local time early Tuesday morning. Rollins and Lynch, and their 4-year-old daughter, were recently spotted at the home, and they have shared shots of the interior on social media, but police confirmed no one was inside at the time of the break-in.
Rollins reported a theft of $10,000 in cash to police, but it’s still not clear what else was stolen. NBC4 LA and People both reported that “around $10,000 in cash” was stolen from the home. Police noticed signs of forced entry as soon as they arrived, but the suspects were long gone.
Multiple outlets pointed to how the burglary at the home owned by Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch follows a string of more recent robberies at the homes of high-profile athletes and entertainers. A growing number of pro athletes across the country have had their homes broken into while they were away for work.
A few international crime rings have been linked to a few of the burglaries, and seven Chilean Nationals, allegedly part of a “South American Theft Group,” were charged in some cases. Many incidents have taken place in Southern California, but authorities would not confirm if Tuesday’s incident was connected to any of the larger theft rings.
The Los Angeles Police Department has still not made any arrests related to the crime as of Wednesday afternoon, but the investigation is ongoing. WWE and the LAPD did not respond to multiple platforms seeking updates or comments.
Seth Rollins will face LA Knight at SNME XL on Saturday night in Atlanta. Sunday’s Evolution II PLE will see Becky Lynch defend the Women’s Intercontinental Championship against Bayley and Lyra Valkyria in a Triple Threat.
