Seth Rollins Names AEW Star On Wrestling Mount Rushmore

Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins has named a top AEW star on his Mount Rushmore of professional wrestling alongside a raft of legends.

Appearing on the Pat McAfee Show, Seth Freakin’ Rollins became the latest star to name his Mount Rushmore of professional wrestling. However, Rollins made sure to differentiate between those who had an impact in drawing money and those who excelled inside the ropes from bell to bell.

In tackling the aspect of simply making money and bringing in fans, Rollins named four certified legends straight off the bat.

“In our business, which is the entertainment business, money-drawing is the biggest thing. So if we’re talking there, you gotta start with Hogan,”

“You gotta put Cena there, Rock and Austin. Top four.”

Continuing on, Rollins focused on the four best in-ring performers, sharing a joke about Steve ‘Mongo’ McMichael along the way. After reeling off three names, the former World Champion said that his fourth pick was a little more controversial as they were still active, before naming AEW star Bryan Danielson.

“Shawn Michaels, Eddie Guerrero, Bret ‘the Hitman’ Hart. This is a controversial one. Did you say Mongo? Did somebody drop a Mongo? I will not discriminate against Steve Mongo McMichael. A legend. An absolute legend, an absolute legend,” Seth Rollins added. “Not gonna make this Mount Rushmore. If you want to make a Mount Rushmore of former NFL stars that crossed over to professional wrestling, Mongo number one. Mongo number one, alright.”

“Number four, controversial pick because he’s still active, Bryan Danielson. I actually think in-ring he’s one of the greatest of all time,” he added. “And I think when it’s all said and done, he’ll be up there with the guys.”

During the conversation, Pat McAfee revealed the phrase that he uses on commentary that gets him yelled at while he’s on commentary.

Back in the ring, Seth Freakin’ Rollins is currently heading for a WWE Championship showdown at Elimination Chamber. After missing out on becoming Universal Champion at Royal Rumble, Rollins was added into the upcoming Elimination Chamber match for the WWE Title.

Rollins will be competing against AJ Styles, Austin Theory, Brock Lesnar and Riddle to dethrone Bobby Lashley.
