Serena Deeb Confirms Knee Injury; Cuts Scathing Promo On Women’s Roster

Former NWA Women’s Champion Serena Deeb has confirmed that she is currently nursing a knee injury.

In a recent Instagram post, Deeb noted that she had been dealing with the injury for a while and that her attempts to work through it were perhaps ill-advised.

In the post, Deeb also took aim at the rest of the AEW women’s division, suggesting that her peers lacked the grit and desire to improve:

I’m nothing like the girls of today that break a nail and they have to take six weeks off. Do you know why I’m the best? I’ll give you a perfect example. First thing I do after my matches is I walk to the back and I find a Tully Blanchard or an Arn Anderson or a Dean Malenko and I grab them and I ask them, ‘Hey, how can I improve? How can I get better at what I do?’ Do you know what the rest of these girls do after their matches? They run to the back, bury their faces in their cellphones to see what the internet says and then they wonder why they don’t get any better. The truth is not one of them can lace my boots, not one of them is in my league.

The former Straight Edge Society member has been warmly received since debuting with AEW back in September of last year, with commentator Jim Ross often heaping praise on the veteran star.

Deeb wrestled for both AEW and the NWA last month, most recently picking up a tag team victory on AEW Dark alongside Tay Conti.

Everyone here at Inside the Ropes wishes Serena well in her recovery.
