Serena Deeb and Hikaru Shida went to war on the April 27th episode of AEW Dynamite, and Deeb’s face didn’t come out unscathed.
AEW stars Serena Deeb and Hikaru Shida have been at odds for months, and the two came face to face once again on the April 27th episode of AEW Dynamite. The two squared off in a street fight that saw Deeb victorious after viciously attacking Shida’s leg and forcing her to submit.
However, Hikaru Shida’s knee wasn’t the only victim in the match, as Serena Deeb suffered a stiff shot to the face during the bout that left her with a nasty welt. The former NWA Women’s Champion took to social media to show off her swollen face, saying that she only needs one eye in reference to her battle wound.
“All I need is one eye. @AEW #AEWDynamite”

Serena Deeb’s injury may be worth it, however, as her win over Hikaru Shida puts her in the front of the line for a shot at Thunder Rosa’s AEW Women’s Championship.
Elsewhere on Dynamite, Rey Fenix returned from injury and aided his fellow Death Triangle members in running off the House of Black. Also, Scorpio Sky defeated Sammy Guevara to become a two time TNT Champion. Dynamite reportedly had to be “heavily rewritten” after AEW Champion Adam Page tested positive for COVID-19 and was pulled from the show.
