Sense Of “Doom And Gloom” Among WWE Employees

Triple H at WWE NXT Performance Center

A new report has revealed a number of WWE employees are fearing for their jobs.

Endeavour’s takeover of WWE is set to be completed before the end of September, and the company will merge with UFC. A new company will be formed with representation from both Endeavor and WWE on the Board of Directors. The majority of the Board was recently confirmed — although it won’t include Triple H.

As the completion of the deal nears, it’s been reported by Mike Johnson of PWInsider that there’s a feeling of some doom and gloom among staff who believe they could soon be made redundant. The report notes that employees who aren’t in the production studios or directly involved with talent could soon be out of a job. One long-time employee noted that UFC and WWE won’t need separate travel offices and accounting departments.

There are a number of employees quietly looking for their next job out of fear of having to pivot and getting out ahead of potential layoffs.

The amount of cuts remains to be seen, but it’s been a hot topic of conversation among staff as the McMahon family era comes to an end.

Nick Khan Has Confirmed WWE Cuts Are On The Way

Speaking back in April shortly after the agreement between WWE and Endeavor was announced, Nick Khan revealed cuts are on the way. Khan explained that the cuts would be aggressive, with the aim of saving at least $50 million.

At the time, Khan denied speculation that the cuts would impact talent and production staff.
