Semi-Finalists For The WWE Women’s Intercontinental Title Tournament Confirmed

WWE Women's Intercontinental Championship

The WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship tournament is nearing its end.

On the December 23rd episode of Raw, the final semi-finalist for the women’s IC tournament was confirmed. Replacing an injured Kairi Sane tonight, Iyo Sky fought against Natalya and Alba Fyre.

While Sane was confirmed for the match, she had to be sidelined after being taken out by Pure Fusion Collective last week. Her replacement, Iyo Sky, fought valiantly and stood out on top. Keeping Natalya down for the three count after a moonsault, Iyo Sky booked her berth in the semi-finals of the tournament.

Fans will witness Iyo Sky versus Lyra Valkyria in the semi-finals while Dakota Kai will face Zoey Stark in another knockout match, to confirm the finalists for the women’s Intercontinental Championship.

All four women will clash in their respective matches next week on 30th December 2024, to determine the final two. At Saturday Night’s Main Event, Chelsea Green made history by becoming the first Women’s United States Champion. It is now time for either of these four women to achieve that historic feat.

Chelsea Green Opens Up After Creating History In WWE

At Saturday Night’s Main Event, Chelsea Green defeated Michin to become the inaugural women’s US champion. In a backstage interview with Bryon Saxton after her match, Chelsea Green opened up about creating history.

Well, Byron, I always knew this was going to happen, so I know you’re surprised, and that’s so cute, but I’m not. I’ve been doing this for 10 years. I worked my entire life to be an overnight success, and this is my time. This is my night, red, white, and Green.”

In other news: Michin has opened up on her intentions for exploring this future wrestling career.

Additionally, a WWE show’s future is now uncertain.
