AEW tag-team heading toward break up.
For the past few months, former AEW World Tag Team Champion, The Acclaimed, has been going through a tense patch in their friendship. With frequent opinion differences, things do not seem to be the same between Max Caster and Anthony Bowens.
Things turned ugly during the December 27th episode of Rampage, when Caster accidentally struck Bowens during his match against Chris Jericho.
The superiority complex of Caster might have brought forward a major crack in their partnership. During the January 1st episode of Dynamite Fight for the Fallen, The Acclaimed faced off against Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin of The Hurt Syndicate.
The match began with Caster and Bowens arguing for the first move. Similar moments continued throughout the match and reached their peak when Caster tagged himself in when Bowens had just built momentum against the Hurt Syndicate.
Frustrated, Anthony Bowens walked out of the match, leaving Max Caster alone in the ring. Bowens stood and watched from the ringside, as Caster lost the battle to The Hurt Lock. Fans wonder what is next for the duo, as cracks begin to develop in their friendship.
Adam Copeland Compares AEW Star To Terry Funk & Roddy Piper
Speaking in a new interview with The Takedown on SI, the recently returned Adam Copeland opened up on his feud against Jon Moxley. Comparing Moxley to wrestling legends Terry Funk and Roddy Piper, he said,
I think this’ll be uglier in all the ways that I love. [Moxley] reminds me a little bit of Terry Funk. He’s got a little Roddy Piper to him. He’s got that throwback feel, but with a modern take. That to me is really exciting. I’d love to just get in there and just have it be a gnarly fight. A hard hitting heavyweight match between two dudes who are over 230 pounds and are just gonna take each other’s heads off. That sounds like a good night.”
