Following her release from WWE, Zelina Vega has spoken out on Twitter and Instagram – publicly backing unionisation as well as taking a subtle shot at WWE’s recent third-party restrictions.
Posting on Instagram, Vega simply posted a video of her gaming channel with the quote, “See you on Twitch.”
Ten minutes before her WWE release was confirmed by the company, Vega would tweet, “I support unionization.”
Meanwhile, the statement on WWE.com confirming the release of the former NXT star would read:
“WWE has come to terms on the release of Zelina Vega. We wish her all the best in her future endeavors.”
Vega joined WWE in 2013, appearing as one of Adam Rose’s Rosebuds and competing in sporadic NXT matches before transitioning into a managerial role where she would guide Andrade to the NXT Championship. Vega would move to WWE RAW in 2019 and go on to manage the stable of Andrade, Garza and Austin Theory before the latter moved back to NXT.
Vega – who is married to SmackDown Superstar Aleister Black – recently ventured into a new role as a singles competitor, even receiving a title shot from Asuka at WWE Clash of Champions and the following night on RAW.
