Sean Waltman On MSK’s Ring Gear – “That Means A Lot To Me”

MSK

Sean Waltman has thanked NXT Tag Team Champions MSK for their choice of ring gear that paid homage to the light heavyweight trailblazer.

MSK won the vacant NXT Tag Team Championship on Night 1 of NXT TakeOver: Stand and Deliver during WrestleMania week. The title was vacated after Danny Burch suffered a shoulder injury that meant he and Oney Lorcan could no longer defend the titles. MSK claimed their first gold in the company by defeating both Grizzled Young Veterans and Legado Del Fantasma.

Wes Lee and Nash Carter that comprise MSK only made their debut in WWE in January 2021. They had previously wrestled for IMPACT Wrestling forming The Rascalz alongside Trey Miguel.

MSK joined Sean Waltman as guests on his Pro Wrestling 4 Life podcast when the WWE Hall of Famer brought up the special gear they had worn.

Waltman said:

“Your sweet ass gear looked similar too. If anyone doesn’t know what I’m talking about the gear that these gentlemen won the tag team titles, and I saw you wore them this past week on NXT when you guys had that match with Kushida against Legado Del Fantasma.”

“So since I brought that up man that means a lot, that means a lot to me. I don’t take that stuff lightly man. It felt really good. I had no idea and then all of a sudden somebody shouted out a tweet and I was like ‘aw man, that’s so cool man.'”

Wes Lee responded:

“You were a pioneer, you really were. Your energy in the ring was unmatched, your athleticism was ahead of its time, and just your charisma. Like, even from your entrance to walking to the back you just oozed charisma and that’s the kind of way that we just like to carry ourselves. So we thank you for showcasing that so we can cultivate that in us.”
