Sean Waltman Brands NXT 2.0 Segment “Some Of The Worst Sh*t I’ve Ever Seen”

WWE Hall Of Famer Sean Waltman has launched a staggering attack on a segment on NXT 2.0 that he calls “f*cking rotten.”

NXT underwent a rebirth on the 14th of September re-emerging into the world as NXT 2.0. With a greater focus on characters than the outstanding in-ring action that came to be synonymous with the once black and gold brand, the audience has been introduced to a whole host of new NXT 2.0 Superstars.

One of these stars is Joe Gacy who has been portraying a character seemingly lampooning “woke” culture and promising to win his matches for all the “snowflakes.”

The character recently received mainstream attention with right-wing media outlets calling Gacy’s character an attack on the “woke left.” The character has been somewhat toned down since his debut but former WWF European Champion Sean Waltman speaking on his Pro Wrestling 4 Life podcast had stronger words for his debut on NXT 2.0:

“That was f*cking brutal. If you’re doing that to specifically get at a certain group of people, you lost the f*cking plot. That was f*cking rotten. Some of the worst sh*t I’ve ever seen on a wrestling TV show.”

Joe Gacy has competed three times in the revamped NXT 2.0, most recently losing to NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa. Ciampa will defend that title against another NXT newcomer, Bron Breakker at the upcoming Halloween Havoc event.
