Sean Waltman addressed the possibility of DX burying current talent during the upcoming 25th Anniversary Celebration on Raw.
D-Generation X first took on its iconic name on October 13th, 1997, and on the season premiere of Monday Night Raw on October 10th, members of the group will reunite to celebrate its 25th anniversary. Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Road Dogg, and Sean “X-Pac” Waltman are all scheduled to appear, while Billy Gunn is unlikely to be involved as he’s currently contracted to AEW and spends his time nowadays scissoring with members of The Acclaimed.
During a recent appearance on Busted Open Radio, Sean Waltman spoke about the upcoming reunion and commented on the fact that the group has seemed to bury current talent during past reunions, such as the time they all attacked Damian Sandow on Raw 1000. Waltman doesn’t want the group to bury any of the current Raw stars during this appearance and just wants to have fun, and he’d like to instead highlight some of the current talent on the show.
“I was joking with somebody earlier about us going out there and burying some of the younger talent like my friends and I have done in the past when they’ve had us come on. I hope that doesn’t happen. Let’s please not do that. I just want to have some fun. Maybe do something to uplift some of the talent that is there.”
Elsewhere on the show, Waltman discussed Chyna’s legacy with DX and said that he hopes she’s honored during the anniversary celebration after she sadly passed away in 2016.
