Kevin Nash has recalled Scott Hall “beating the dog sh*t” out of a former Intercontinental Champion after a hotel room got trashed.
Prior to his untimely death Scott Hall had been friends with Kevin Nash for decades. During their wrestling careers the pair appeared together during two stints with WWE, two runs in WCW and TNA/IMPACT Wrestling.
Speaking on a recent episode of his podcast Kliq This, Kevin Nash recalled one memorable backstage incident from their time together in WWE during the early to mid 1990’s. The story centres around Marty Jannetty who destroyed a hotel, yet escaped punishment and somehow Hall ended up taking the blame.
In the aftermath of the incident, despite not being involved, Hall was fined and temporarily suspended.
Nash explained that naturally this didn’t sit well with the former nWo star who beat up the former Intercontinental Champion the next time he saw him.
“One of my favourite stories is Marty Jannetty trashed a hotel room and somehow Scott got blamed. And he got called and they deducted money out of his check and he gets sent home. He got to the building and Marty was asleep on a training table. I guess, Scott just… I mean… beat the dog sh*t out of him. That was what Scott would always say. ‘I might not be the toughest guy but sooner or later I will get you when you’re asleep.”
Marty Jannetty is best remembered for his multiple runs with WWE, but is most famous for forming one half of The Rockers alongside Shawn Michaels, although the pair never won tag team gold in the company. However, Jannetty did enjoy a short run with the Intercontinental Championship in mid-1993.
