Scott Arfield

Rangers star Scott Arfield has sent a message of support to Drew McIntyre ahead of his huge match at WWE Clash At The Castle against Roman Reigns.

On September 3rd at WWE Clash At The Castle Drew McIntyre steps into the ring against Roman Reigns as he bids to become Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. McIntyre will be roared on by a near 70,000 capacity crowd in Cardiff, as WWE returns to the United Kingdom for their first time for a show of this magnitude in three decades.

It’s no secret that when McIntyre is not trying to win WWE Championship’s he’s a huge supporter of Scottish football club Rangers, and it appears as though the support is mutual.

Ahead of Clash At The Castle, Rangers star Scott Arfield has sent his own good luck message to the Scottish Warrior.

After spells with Falkirk, Huddersfield Town and Burnley, Scott Arfield signed with Rangers in 2018. Since joining the Scottish giants, Arfield has won the Scottish Premiership and the Scottish Cup.

Interestingly, speaking in a recent interview Drew McIntyre compared his career resurgence after getting released by WWE in 2014, to Rangers own rise back to prominence.

In 2012 after years of financial mis-management Rangers entered liquidation and all assets were eventually sold to a new company which became The Rangers Football Club Ltd.

After much negotiation, Rangers took their place in the Scottish third division for the 2012-2013 season. The club eventually rose back to the Scottish Premiership, winning the league in 2021.
