Satoshi Kojima Sends Apology To CM Punk

Satoshi Kojima vs CM Punk at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door

AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door featured a multitude of never-seen-before matches as stars from both promotions clashed at the PPV on Sunday, June 25th. One of the first-time-ever matchups saw CM Punk meet Satoshi Kojima in the opening round of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.

Punk entered the match to a chorus of boos from the Canadian crowd, while Kojima received a heroes welcome. Once in the ring, Punk constantly played up to the negative reception and used a number of hellish tactics throughout the match. At one point he adopted some of Hulk Hogan’s poses and even dropped the big leg drop to further antagonise the audience.

Despite, a tonne of focus on Punk and his antics there was one spot in the match that also got fans talking. During the match, Kojima headed to the top rope to deliver one of his signature elbow drops. However, he overshot his dive a little and planted his elbow right in Punk’s nether region. Amazingly Punk was not only able to continue after the wince-inducing spot but emerge victorious and progress to the Semi-Finals of the tournament.

Satoshi Kojima Apologies To CM Punk For Hitting His C*ck At AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door

After the match, Kojima was quick to praise his opponent writing on Twitter:

His appearance was charismatic.
I stared at him dumbfounded for a while.
He had great energy.

Following his kind words about Punk, the former two-time IWGP World Heavyweight Champion then posted an apology to him for accidentally hitting him in the crown jewels.

My elbow drop hit his cock.

But it’s not on purpose. Accident.

Because I don’t have that kind of technology.

In the Owen Hart Tournament, Punk will face the winner of Roderick Strong and Samoa Joe, which takes place on the July 1st edition of Collision. Dustin Rhodes vs. Powerhouse Hobbs and Juice Robinson vs. Ricky Starks is also taking place on the show.
