Sasha Banks made waves alongside her tag team partner Naomi when the pair walked out of WWE Raw on May 16th amidst reported creative disputes with Vince McMahon. As a result, the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships were vacated following the pair’s suspension from the company, and neither Banks nor Naomi has appeared on WWE television since.
Despite rumors that Sasha Banks and Naomi could be returning to WWE imminently, the pair has been shown to thrive in their outside endeavors. In September, the pair took part in New York Fashion Week, where they shared a photo with Banks’ former tag team partner Bayley, who made her own return to WWE at SummerSlam.
Though Sasha Banks is no longer on WWE Raw, she’ll be returning to the USA Network soon
USA Network recently announced a new game show project that will be produced by noted friends Carson Daly and Blake Shelton. WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella is set to host the show, which will feature a number of celebrities traveling to Nashville, TN to participate in bar games at Shelton’s Ole Red bar. According to USA Network, Barmageddon is set to feature games such as Air Cannon Cornhole, Keg Curling, Drunken Axe Hole, Sharts (“Shelton Darts”), and more.
According to USA Network Insider, the show is described as following:
“In each episode, two celebrities play a unique set of five games in the bar to win a much-needed prize for a viral Internet sensation each has chosen to support. Plucked from obscurity following their epic misadventures on the Internet, these now-infamous stars find themselves at Ole Red hoping to be redeemed. The competition heats up when the losing rival of each round has a chance to even the score by spinning the Wheel of Redemption, a risky move with hilarious consequences.
“Ultimately, the winning team takes home a prize while the losing celebrity must accept the shame of defeat. But this is “Barmageddon” — even if they do not win, at least they had fun trying.”
WWE fans will be interested to see that not only will Barmageddon see the return of Sasha Banks to the USA Network for the first time since walking out of WWE Raw, it will also feature her going head to head with Brie Bella outside of the squared circle. Other notable celebrity pairs are Gwen Stefani vs. Sheryl Crow, Elle King vs. Chris Young, and Blake Shelton vs. Kane Brown.
