A new report has claimed that Sasha Banks was unhappy at Ronda Rousey being given the match against Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania that was originally set to feature The Boss.
On May 16th, Sasha Banks and Naomi walked out of WWE Raw as the show went to air. They had originally been scheduled to take part in a Six-Pack Challenge main event to determine the number one contender for the Raw Women’s Championship.
The walkout meant that the bout was hastily changed to a singles match which saw Asuka defeat Becky Lynch to earn a title match against Bianca Belair.
Now, in a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer has spoken more about the possible issues Sasha Banks has had with the company.
Meltzer explained that Banks was “mad” when Ronda Rousey was given the WrestleMania 38 match against Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship, saying that the match was originally meant to feature Sasha Banks and had been planned that way “for months”.
“Sasha has always had issues, you know she was mad that Ronda got the WrestleMania spot, which you know was planned for Sasha Banks and Charlotte Flair, which was planned for months, I wrote about it. She got moved down and they gave her the tag belts as kinda like a concession because she got moved down.”
