Sasha Banks Spotted For First Time Since WWE Walkout

Sasha Banks

For the first time after walking out of WWE alongside Naomi on Monday, 16 May, Sasha Banks has been spotted in public.

Sasha Banks and Naomi walked out of WWE on 16 May while Monday Night Raw was live on-air. They had been planned to take part in a Six-Pack Challenge in the evening’s main event, which instead turned into Asuka defeating Becky Lynch to earn a Raw Women’s Championship match with Bianca Belair.

The duo have since been “suspended indefinitely” and stripped of their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships, though Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp has reported that they remain under WWE contract.

Now, for the first time since the incident, Sasha Banks has now been spotted in public. ‘The Legit Boss’ was seen at a Steve Aoki concert in Minneapolis. PWInsider’s Mike Johnson had previously disclosed that a PWInsider Elite subscriber had notified him that Banks had been seen travelling to the area on a flight from Orlando:

Both Sasha Banks and Naomi’s WWE contracts are reportedly nearing expiration. Former WWE writer Kazeem Famuyide noted on the Masked Man Show that their deals were allegedly set to expire in the “next two months” (h/t Wrestle Purists):

“I did hear that their contracts were like…they were in negotiations for renewals, and I don’t know how soon it is but I think Sasha & Naomi’s contracts were set to expire within the next two months already right? So I mean, that’s another caveat there where we’re just like ‘ok’, like what happens if their contracts just run out while they’re doing this?”

The incident has brought significant heat on the now-former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, who’ve had their championships declared vacant amid their indefinite suspension. Banks and Naomi’s merchandise has also been removed from WWE Shop as a result of their decision to walk out.

There’s currently no timetable for their return to WWE programming, with neither being in attendance for last night’s SmackDown in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
