Sasha Banks Picks Up The Win Over Asuka at Survivor Series

Sasha Banks holds the SmackDown Women's Championship on the October 30th episode

Sasha Banks defeated Asuka in an incredible contest at Survivor Series, with the SmackDown Women’s Champion taking the win over her RAW counterpart.

The win marks Sasha Banks’ first ever win over Asuka in a straight-up singles match, despite the pair having a storied rivalry through much of the year, with Bayley and Kairi Sane by their sides respectively.

The Boss would try to take the win early with a Bank Statement – but thankfully for everyone watching, The Empress of Tomorrow escaped and we got a match of the night contender to rival Street Profits vs New Day’s barnstormer from earlier in the evening. Both women would trade submissions and pin fall attempts in a wonderfully technical contest, with both The Boss and The Empress of Tomorrow almost being counted out at one point too. Again, thankfully for us, they made it back into the ring where Banks would eventually roll up Asuka to pick up her first win over the RAW Women’s Champion.
