Sasha Banks has revealed just how she feels that Bayley changed her whole view on WWE when she came into the company in 2013.
Speaking to WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin on The Broken Skull Sessions on the WWE Network, Banks opened up on what Bayley means to her.
“When I locked up with Charlotte, it was just instant magic. Then Bayley came in and when she came in, she really changed the whole game and aspect on how I viewed WWE and who I wanted to be here. I can’t even explain it; you’re gonna make me cry.”
Sasha Banks would be effusive in her praise of her former tag team partner. Together the pair were the first WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, winning the titles in an Elimination Chamber in 2019.
“She’s so special, she came in and changed that locker room. It was so competitive, anybody would have pushed somebody down the stairs to be the champion – to be number one. Her energy, her – just her, how she represented herself, how she talked about wrestling. I was like ‘oh my God, I can talk to you like I’m 10 years old and we can talk like how I wanted to talk to so many people about WWE when I was a kid. She just changed the whole game and I’m just so grateful for her because I would not be – another person I would not be here without her. I couldn’t be here without Bayley.”
Sasha Banks and Bayley made history when they became the first women to main event an NXT TakeOver event at NXT TakeOver: Respect in October 2015.
Banks also revealed during the interview that she had asked for her WWE release and details Vince McMahon’s reaction.
