An update has emerged on the contractual status of Sasha Banks and Naomi following their walkout from WWE and “indefinite suspension”.
The possibility of Sasha Banks and Naomi officially departing WWE has been a hot topic of discourse following the pair’s decision to walk out of WWE during a live episode of Monday Night Raw. They’d been announced as participating in that night’s main event, but their departure caused major creative changes.
Banks and Naomi have since had their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships stripped away from them with an “indefinite suspension” also looming over their heads. Perhaps most interesting is that all of their merchandise has been removed from WWE Shop.
Despite all of this, they remain under WWE contract. Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp tweeted in response to a fan question that they remain official WWE Superstars:
“WWE confirmed to me Naomi and Sasha Banks have not been released despite being removed from WWEShop.”

The contract situations of Sasha Banks and Naomi have intrigued many since their decision to walk out. It’s reported that both of their deals are set to expire relatively soon – ex-WWE writer Kazeem Famuyide believes it could be as early as the next two months – with no indication on whether or not either will re-sign.
Both Sasha and Naomi have been slammed for their alleged unprofessional behaviour, as Corey Graves put it on Monday’s Raw. Meanwhile, Michael Cole, who made the announcement of their suspension on Friday’s SmackDown, claims the duo have let down millions of fans.
Sasha Banks and Naomi are both yet to provide any comments on the matter and were confirmed as not being in attendance for the SmackDown broadcast in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
